Crochet Animation Tapestry
‘Stuck in a Loop’ is an experimental crochet animation that I made using my final year of university. It is a reflection on the repetitive worries and anxious thoughts that I experience. In a way ‘Stuck in a Loop’ is a manifestation of both how I cope with my anxious thoughts (often through the act of crocheting) and a representation of the looming sense of them at times and how overwhelming they can feel. Embodied in the tapestry is a functional crocheted QR code that you can scan to watch the animation. You can try scanning it through the screen now!
Hysterical 2024: Radical Creativity
‘Stuck in a Loop’ was featured in this year’s exhibition of Hysterical 2024: Radical Creativity in March 2024. Hysterical is a queer and feminist led exhibition that aims to represent artworks from women and people or marginalised genders. The event centres around community, collaboration and activism.
